Petite Women: Tips On Finding The Perfect Belt

Knowing your body type is important when buying clothes and accessories.  Speaking as a petite woman, I know that certain clothes can make us look shorter.  It is the same concept when finding the right belt.  Having the wrong belt can make your torso look shorter and stumpy.  We don’t want that!  Let the belt lengthen your waist.  For tall women wearing a belt too small can make you look like you are playing dress up!

Being short and petite, I used to be scared of accessorizing with a belt.  I have tried so many different belts. I have worn belts that were made of different textures, fabric and color. I have also tried wide belts and skinny belts.  Yes, I have made some fashion don’ts but that is what got me here.  I wore a wide belt once and I rocked it.  At the time, I didn’t know that it made my torso look shorter.  Unless you are tall, avoid thick, bulky belts and belts with multiple buckles.  No matter how cute they are!

For someone like me who is short and petite, thin belts work. Thin belts, such as ones found HERE, will not overwhelm your frame. You can also wear the belt a little lower on the hips to make the torso seem a little longer.

At Rose Gal you can find different style belts.  They have cute belts that would look great on any attire.

Here are some belts that I think are great for petite women.

This belt would be perfect for casual wear like with jeans.

I like this belt. It has some elegance to it great for the night out in the town.

This belt looks professional great for office wear.  It will compliment a long sweater.

Another belt that will go well with casual wear.  Will look great on a dress.

This one would be gorgeous on a dress.

I never wear belts. I love the look of them, but I find them to be uncomfortable on me personally.

Oh wow, well I'm really short, about five feet tall and I wear regular blots with my pants. Guess I should try a skinny belt.

Cindy

I am five feet and very petite. I had no idea I was wearing the wrong belt. I looked in the mirror and did notice a difference when I wear a skinny belt. Thanks for the tip.
